Yesteryear Collection

The Beer:
In 1998, cans of Budweiser are marked with a special panel that outline the qualities that make Anheuser-Busch's Budweiser the "King of Beers." The copy on the label emphasizes that Anheuser-Busch still uses Beechwood aging. The company still adheres to the most venerable brewing techniques. Only the finest hops from all over the world are hand-selected - including those from the Anheuser-Busch farms in Idaho and Bavaria. One label tells us that Budweiser is brewed fresh - and indicates the 'birth date' on the can. This label also says that Anheuser-Busch uses yeast directly descended from the yeast culture used in brewing the very first bottle of Budweiser more than 120 years ago.

The Delivery vehicle:
In the early '30s. when Anheuser-Busch was celebrating its 60th anniversary, the Diamond T Motor Car Company of Chicago, Illinois had introduced an eight-ton, six-wheeler with a Waukesha engine. The company had been making trucks for more than 20 years and had offered America a wide variety of commercial trucks ranging up to 12-tonners. Ultimately the Diamond T Company was acquired by a former distributor and re-introduced as Diamond-Reo Giant which is still manufactured today.
